Όπως ήδη έχετε ενημερωθεί σε προηγούμενα άρθρα μας πρόκειται για τουρνουά old school, με κάρτες που εμφανίστηκαν στο Βασίλειο των Μονομάχων. Κάθε παίκτης πρέπει να καταρτίσει την τράπουλά του, βασισμένος στις κάρτες της λίστας.
Η συμμετοχή είναι στα 5 ευρώ, με τους μονομάχους να λαμβάνουν από ένα ''φακελάκι'' με 5 κάρτες (4 common & 1 super, gold ή ultra rare). Τα ''φακελάκια'' για το παρόν old school τουρνουά διαμορφώθηκαν με την πρωτοβουλία του Yu-gi-oh Greek Fans και αφορούν κάρτες που εμφανίστηκαν αποκλειστικά στο Βασίλειο των Μονομάχων, διαφόρων εκδόσεων (MRD, YGLD, MILI, PGL2, DPKB, LC01 κτλ). Ο νικητής θα λάβει το μοναδικό τρόπαιο του Yu-Gi-Oh Greek Fans Old School Tournament μαζί με ''φακελάκια'', ενώ το όνομά του θα κοσμεί για πάντα το Hall of Fame της ιστοσελίδας μας. Θα υπάρχει και δυνατότητα προεγγραφής (σχολιάζοντας κάτω από τη σελίδα μας) για όσους θελήσουν να εξασφαλίσουν σίγουρη θέση στο τουρνουά.O αριθμός των συμμετεχότων θα είναι αυστηρά στους 20.
Το σύστημα διεξαγωγής των αγώνων θα είναι νοκ άουτ, με την πρόκριση να κρίνεται σε τρεις μονομαχίες (match duel). Οι κανόνες των μονομαχιών είναι ακριβώς οι ίδιοι πάνω στους οποίους βασίζονται τα σύγχρονα τουρνουά Υu-gi-oh. Αυτό μονάχα που διαφοροποιεί το εκάστοτε τουρνουά από τα υπόλοιπα που διεξάγονται, είναι η λίστα που έχει φτιαχτεί για το πρώτο, και που υποχρεώνει τους μονομάχους να χρησιμοποιήσουν συγκεκριμένες κάρτες για να συμμετάσχουν.
Η εν λόγω λίστα λοιπόν, επιτρέπει την χρησιμοποίηση ΜΟΝΟ των καρτών που έχουν εμφανιστεί στο Βασίλειο των Μονομάχων! Οι περισσότερες από αυτές μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν από ΤΡΕΙΣ φορές σε κάθε τράπουλα, εκτός από ορισμένες, οι οποίες επιτρέπονται μόνο ΜΙΑ (Limited.).
